The strength training workshop at SFG is a blend of theoretical learning and physical testing. At the beginning of the workshop, we will introduce and explain key concepts that every gymnast aspiring to build strength should be familiar with. We will delve into the details, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of what, where, and when a gymnast should train.
The workshop is led by Benjamin Kristensen
The program for the workshop includes:
45 minutes presentation on the theory behind strength training for gymnasts
Warm-up
10m dash test (sprint acceleration)
Forceplate test (Peak force, avg. RFD, RSI modified, flight time, and more)
15 gymnasts (approx): 2.5 hours
30 gymnasts (approx): 2.5 hours (requires two trampolines for the pit)
Coaches: we recommend 30 coaches maximum pr trampette available
For gymnasts and coaches
SFG's trampoline workshop begins with a 45-minute theoretical section, delving deep into the analysis of take-off angles, approach, sprint technique, characteristics of top trampette gymnasts, and the crucial significance of potential energy. We break down all elements of a successful take-off into smaller components, making them clear and understandable for both gymnasts and coaches.
The workshop is led by Benjamin Kristensen, with the option to include Sondre Thorstein in the presentation and subsequent training. Sondre Thorstein is recognized as one of the world's best trampette gymnasts.
The program for the workshop includes:
45 minutes presentation on the theory behind approach and take-off on a trampoline
Warm-up
Trampoline training with focal points from the presentation
15 gymnasts (approx): 2 hours
30 gymnasts (approx): 2 hours (requires two tumbling tracks for the pit)
For gymnasts and coaches
SFG's workshop on whip back, tumbling, and transition techniques begins with a 30-minute presentation. We delve into the basic techniques necessary to succeed in both small and large jumps. We examine how different nations work with the techniques and look at differences and similarities. The similarities are often the cardinal points, which are not up for discussion and therefore the most important for our tumbling success.
In working with the gymnast’s big jumps, we look at both the physical and technical prerequisites for performing the jumps and conducting training with multiple repetitions.
Possible workshop instructors:
Magnus Lindholmer (European champion and WAGC champion in powertumbling)
Andreas Franker (OGF powertumbling trainer and National Junior Coach)
Benjamin Kristensen (owner of SFG, European Teamgym Champion, and All star award winner)
Mathias Warming (former national tumbling team member (now strength coach at SFG)
Michael Moselund Hansen (Former national coach in Tumbling and TeamGym in Denmark, elite coach at VGF89 and OGF, and current Tumbling and TeamGym instructor at Vejstrup Efterskole (boarding school).
The program for the workshop includes:
30 minutes presentation on the theory behind whip backs, transitions, and tumbling in general
Warm-up
Tumbling training focusing on points from the presentation
